Autumn

Autumn means harvest time! The farm team are as busy as ever trying to keep up with the fresh fruit and vegetables which are ripening every day. The farm shop will be bursting with nearly 30 different Farndon Fields grown varieties on its shelves at the height of harvest time.

Mid-September and the potato harvest begins in earnest. It’s a race to get all the potatoes up out of the ground and safely stored in our temperature controlled barn. The potatoes are stored in the barn all through the year so we have a constant supply of potatoes in the Farm Shop.

By mid-October, our pumpkin patch is bursting full. We plant around 2 acres of pumpkins in several different varieties so you've got a mix of shapes and colours to choose from in the farm shop. We also grow an interesting selection of decorative gourds, something a bit different!
