We brought the farm to the farm shop for the Summer Farm to Fork Dinner! A great Summer’s evening with Farndon Fields loyalty members in the Farmer’s Kitchen.
Greg and his team of chefs were cooking up a storm on the Big Green Eggs; we enjoyed tasters whilst sipping our Warner Edwards G&T's in the Farmer’s Kitchen-garden.
Warner Edwards is our favourite local craft gin distillery, based in Harrington only 6 miles away. Tom and the team came along and served up the best G&T’s starring all of their four award-winning gins. You just had to try them all!
The Warner Edwards Gin Bar was a big hit and we all enjoyed a tipple or two.
The main meal was tapas-style, with 9 dishes made for us to share around our table. We indulged on 3 meat dishes, with Ricky’s recipe marinated chicken being a star of the show and 6 salad dishes all starring Farndon Fields homegrown produce.
The farm is in full swing harvest season now so we had lots of delicious in-season fruit, vegetables and salads to put on the menu.
The evening was ended on a high with Farndon Fields strawberries, raspberries and blackberries served up with homemade chocolate brownies and meringues. Delicious! It was a lovely evening that the team worked very hard to put together. A brilliant effort by everyone and we look forward to hosting the next evening; the Autumn Farm to Fork Dinner.
